What is Tailgate Delivery?
As part of the Common Carrier Driver ICC Regulations, truck drivers are Only Required to bring merchandise to the Tailgate (end) of their vehicle.
It is then the customer’s responsibility to remove it from the truck. If you do not have the personnel or facilities to handle unloading, KindCare Medical highly recommends the following services:

Lift Gate Service:
If your Facilities DOES NOT have a Receiving/Loading Dock you should request Lift Gate Service to lower the merchandise from the end of truck to ground level.

Inside Delivery:
Inside delivery DOES NOT include Lift Gate Service.
If Inside Delivery is requested, the driver will assist someone from your Facility in moving merchandise off the truck into the building. If there is a freight elevator available, the driver may also assist in taking the merchandise to any floor above or below the delivery floor. If no freight elevator exists, the driver will only assist in bringing the merchandise into the entrance on the ground floor. If there are steps, additional help will be required. Inside delivery, Lift Gate, Re-delivery and Special Delivery Circumstances are subject to Additional Charges. Inside Delivery DOES NOT Include Removal of Packaging Material or Pallets. Inside Delivery DOES NOT Include Assembly.
The customer is responsible to coordinate directly with the delivery company for:
•Receiving and Accepting the Medical Recliners
•Delivery Dates and Times
•Payment for additional charges that may be related to delivery.
